Our Plan

Our plan is simple. We will work with the local churches and schools to identify those children who have been abandoned or have none to very little income and engage them with stability.  You can imagine if the head of the household is fortunate enough to find a job, it is almost impossible to make ends meet on $30 - $40 dollars a week.  The area that we will be in has no social programs and has a "if you don't have money....you don't eat" approach.  What our plan will be is to set up a local food bank and with buying power be able to spread rice, beans, and tortillas to those who may not eat on a daily basis in a safe manner.  This is phase 1 that seems to be most desperate.

Phase 2 is to locate and place children with housing.  In El Salvador, it rains for 5-6 months at a time between May and October.  To find shelter every day in the rain is very difficult for a lot of Salvadorans.  Small, very modest shelter/homes can be built for about $5000.00 with absolutely no frills but, is shelter from the elements.  Our plan is to build 2-3 of these type homes over the next year as a transition from the streets to finding placement.

Once we have the children on the road to stability, we can then begin the educational phase, which includes daily schooling and helping the schools to have access to the internet for educational purposes.

This is certainly a nutshell overview of what needs done, but that is the economy in El Salvador, cut out the red tape and keep it simple.  My wife and I have been doing this for about 3 years and we have only scratched the surface.  If we can have a group of investors, (this is an investment), we can certainly help 25-50 children over the next year.  We need to raise $25,000.00 over the next 12 months to make this work.  If you would like to donate, please email and you will be sent the information to help.  Thank you for helping.
