As my wife was telling me about life in El Salvador, it reminded me of Grandpas story of walking to school in a blizzard for 5 miles.
She was being kind and painted a better picture than actually existed.
I have been to El Salvador several times now and although some things improve, life is very hard there.
The first time I drove by the landfill and saw the children going through the trash looking for food and anything of value....I thought "Who do I call about this?"
Well, THIS IS THE CALL.
We are committed to getting the children out of the dumps. Our vision is not only to feed the children but helping them to become fishermen. Housing and education are important in any culture and many of these children have never set foot inside a school. Many live at the landfill.
I invite you to research the country of El Salvador. I believe most will be shocked by the conditions that exist. The help that you can provide will begin the process of building a child's future; housing, food on the table, and basic education.
